DMCA & copyright policy
We respect the intellectual-property rights of others and expect people who use Synergy to do the same. This policy explains how to report alleged copyright infringement, how to respond if your content was removed, and how we handle repeat infringement. It applies to material hosted on or transmitted through the Synergy website, the Synergy application, support channels, and any future community features.

1. Scope and our role
Synergy is a Windows optimization application. Most emulator tools, keymaps, macros, APK/XAPK installs, and paks operate locally on your PC and are not uploaded to us. We do not operate a public file-sharing service. This policy nevertheless applies to any material that is stored on, transmitted through, or displayed by the Service, including support attachments, account content, and any community or hosting feature we may add.
If you believe material available through the Service infringes your copyright, please use the process below. If you are unsure whether your use is authorised, you may wish to speak to a lawyer before sending a notice. A knowingly false or materially misleading notice can create legal liability.
2. Before you send a notice
Please consider whether the material is actually infringing. Fair use, fair dealing, quotation, criticism, review, parody, and other lawful exceptions may apply. A game publisher may authorise screenshots, mods, or emulator use; an emulator vendor may permit redistribution of certain files. A notice should be reserved for material you own or are authorised to enforce and that you believe is being used without permission.
If the material is on a third-party site, game, emulator, or platform, contact that provider. We cannot remove content we do not control. If you are a Synergy customer with a support attachment or account content that you believe infringes, contact us first so we can identify and address it quickly.
3. DMCA takedown notice
If you are a copyright owner, or authorised to act for one, you can send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512). To be effective, a notice must include substantially all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple works are covered, a representative list of those works.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it. Include the exact URL, account, file name, message, or post, and screenshots or timestamps where helpful. “On your website” is not enough.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
Send the notice by email to support@synergy.arnislive.com with the subject line “DMCA Notice”. Please send it as a single PDF or plain-text attachment and include any reference numbers in the body. Do not send payment information, passwords, or sensitive personal data that is not needed to process the notice.
We accept copyright notices at the address above. If we register a designated agent with the United States Copyright Office, the agent’s name, address, telephone number, and email will be published here and in the Copyright Office directory. Until then, notices sent to the address above will be routed to the person responsible for handling them. We may update this section to reflect a change of agent.
4. What happens after we receive a notice
We review each complete notice and may ask for clarification or additional information. If we determine that the notice is valid and the material is hosted or controlled by us, we will remove or disable access to the material, or take other appropriate action. We will make a reasonable effort to notify the person who posted or supplied the material, and we will provide them with a copy of the notice and information about counter-notification, unless the law or safety concerns require otherwise.
We may remove or restrict material without a DMCA notice where we believe it infringes rights, violates our terms, or creates legal or security risk. We may also forward notices to the relevant account holder, hosting provider, or authority where appropriate.
We keep records of notices, counter-notices, and actions taken for as long as needed to operate the process, comply with law, and address repeat infringement.
5. Counter-notification
If your material was removed or disabled because of a copyright notice and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. §512(g). To be effective, it must include substantially all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where your address is located, or, if your address is outside the United States, a judicial district where we may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or that person’s agent.
Send the counter-notification to the same address with the subject line “DMCA Counter-Notice”. We will forward it to the original complainant. Unless the complainant notifies us within 10 to 14 business days that it has filed a court action seeking to restrain the infringement, we may restore the material. The exact timing depends on the law and the circumstances. We are not required to restore material, and we may keep it disabled if we believe it infringes rights or violates our terms.
6. Misrepresentation and abuse
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), a person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, costs, and attorneys’ fees. We may seek to recover costs caused by a knowingly false notice or counter-notice, and we may report abusive conduct where appropriate.
Do not use this process to harass a competitor, suppress criticism, obtain personal data, or remove lawful content. Notices that are incomplete, automated, or clearly abusive may be rejected or handled as a general complaint. We may require a repeat sender to verify authority before accepting further notices.
7. Repeat-infringer policy
We maintain a policy for terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright. We track valid notices and counter-notices and consider the number, severity, and recency of substantiated notices, the outcome of any counter-notification, and the context of the material.
A single unverified notice will not automatically result in termination. Where a pattern of infringement is established, we may warn the account holder, suspend specific features, remove material, suspend the account, or terminate access. We may also take action without a prior warning where the infringement is repeated, wilful, commercial, or creates a risk to other users. Termination does not affect refund rights that cannot be excluded by law, but it may end the licence as described in our terms of service.
8. Copyright law outside the United States
We respect copyright and related rights worldwide. If you are outside the United States, you can send a notice using the same process, and we will handle it in accordance with applicable law. The DMCA is a United States statute; other countries have their own notice, takedown, and liability rules. We may adapt the process where local law requires a different procedure.
- European Union and United Kingdom: we respond to substantiated notices of copyright infringement and take proportionate action. Nothing in this policy imposes a general monitoring obligation on us. Where the Digital Services Act or UK law applies, we will provide the required contact point, statement, and complaint handling.
- India: under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code Rules, 2021, our Grievance Officer can be reached at support@synergy.arnislive.com. We acknowledge grievances within the time required by law and act on unlawful content as required. A copyright complaint should identify the work, the infringing material, and your authority.
- Canada: we handle copyright notices under the notice-and-notice provisions of the Copyright Act, including forwarding notices where required and preserving the identity of the person to whom a notice relates, subject to law.
- Brazil: we handle notices under the Marco Civil da Internet and the Copyright Law, and may require a court order where the law requires one before removing certain content.
- Australia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and other countries: we handle substantiated notices under the applicable copyright safe-harbour, notice-and-takedown, or intermediary rules. If local law gives you a specific right or procedure, tell us and we will follow it.
9. Trademarks and other rights
We also review complaints about trademarks, passing off, counterfeit goods, impersonation, and other intellectual-property rights. Send these to the same address with the subject “IP Complaint”. Include the mark or right, the basis of your ownership or authority, the exact material complained of, and the action requested. We may ask for proof of registration or authority. This process is separate from the DMCA counter-notification procedure.
10. Privacy of notices
Notices and counter-notices may contain personal data such as your name, address, and email. We use that data to process the complaint, communicate with the parties, maintain records, and comply with law. We may share the notice with the person who posted the material, the hosting provider, or an authority where necessary. We may publish aggregated or anonymised transparency statistics. Do not include sensitive personal data that is not needed. See our privacy policy for more.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law, our process, or our designated agent. We will post the updated version and change the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated where required. A change does not affect the validity of a notice already received.
12. Contact
